Governance & Strategic Vision

The Roseneath School Board plays a crucial governance role, working in partnership with school leadership to guide the long-term future of our kura. While our Principal and kaiako (teachers) brilliantly manage the day-to-day learning programmes, the Board focuses on the big picture.

We are here to ensure that Roseneath consistently provides a safe, inclusive, and highly effective environment for all ākonga. By setting the strategic vision and upholding the school's core values, we help create a vibrant foundation where every child has the resources they need to flourish.

Our primary responsibilities include

POLICY

Formulating the strategic direction and policies of the kura.

Approving all school expenditure and managing property.

STAFFING

Appointing and supporting our permanent teaching staff.

Monitoring the effectiveness of the curriculum and student achievement.

Attend a Meeting

The Board usually meets on the second Monday of the month. Parents and caregivers are warmly welcome to attend these public meetings (please note, visitors may be asked to step out if the Board needs to move into an 'in-committee' confidential session).
