Friends of Roseneath
Working together to support our kura, our kaiako, and our kids.
Friends of Roseneath is our school’s vibrant parent and community group. We are a dedicated team of parents and caregivers who work alongside the school to run community events, build connections among our whānau, and raise vital funds for our students.
Why We Fundraise
We are incredibly proud of our small, intimate school environment where every child is known and championed. Because we are a smaller kura, we rely on the fantastic support of our community to provide the 'extras' that take our students' learning environment from great to exceptional.
While the Ministry of Education funds the core infrastructure of the school, the money we raise through our 'Friends' events goes directly towards upgrading facilities, providing modern digital learning tools, expanding our library resources, and ensuring our ākonga have the very best opportunities to shine.
How to Get Involved
As parents move on to high school, we are always looking for new faces to join the team! There are two great ways to get involved, depending on how much time you have:
The Committee: We have a core group of hard-working parents who meet regularly to plan events and coordinate fundraising. If you love organizing and want to be closely involved, we would love to have you.
Friends of Friends (Casual Helpers): Don't have time for meetings? No problem! Register as a 'Friend of Friends' to be kept in the loop via email. When we need a few extra hands for a working bee, baking for a bake sale, or running a sausage sizzle, you can just jump in when it suits your schedule.
