Roseneath Read-a-thon!

Power up your reading and help us grow our school library.

Ready, Set, Read!

From Monday 20th July until Friday 14th August, Roseneath School is competing in our ultimate Read-a-thon!

We have set a school-wide goal to raise $6,000 to fund much-needed upgrades for our school library. Our tamariki need sponsors to encourage them on their month-long reading challenge. Can you help us sail past the finish line?

At the start of the month, students set a personal target for the number of minutes they want to spend reading. They track their daily progress in their provided reading logs—and for our junior students in Years 1–3, this includes time spent being read to! To help them stay motivated, students collect sponsorships from friends and whānau to encourage them to hit their milestones.

Other Ways to Support Our Library

Beyond sponsoring a reader, there are a few other ways to help us grow our library into a flourishing hub of learning, comfort, and creativity:

  • Leave a Legacy: Every generous donation is acknowledged with a personalised coloured wooden leaf, which is added to the beautiful wood-carved Legacy Artwork displayed proudly in our library entrance.

  • Gift a Book: Our classrooms are eager to build their individual collections! You can gift a book (or a set of books) to keep our literary options fresh. Contact us for a comprehensive list of books.
